Jim Ptacek’s photography is most often focused on inner city architecture. In this ornament, taken from a collage of photographs called “North Coast Lights”, Jim has made it the outskirts of the city and to the Southern shore of Lake Erie. Along the edge of the lake are a plethora of lighthouses, but Jim has brought us the most architecturally wonderful here. Featured lighthouses in this Cleveland classic includes Lorain, Fairport, Marblehead, Cleveland, Huron and Fairport Marine Museum.
Wendell August’s Master Die Engraver Dave Bruck has taken this Ptacek’s masterpiece, and forever frozen it in steel die so that we can bring it to you at part of our 2011 Artist Series Ornaments.
